WHAT'S NEW ! ! !

Marcus was just here visiting so I spent NO time on the computer . . . I'll have updates real soon. Ah . . it was just so nice having my baby come visit. I think I'll bask in the warmth of that feeling for a little bit.

Plus, we've been working on the house a bit so it looks like a construction zone. Just couldn't clear up a consistent path to the easel. That doesn't mean that my mind is shut down. I have a ton of ideas, now I just need to get back behind the easel again.

I'm back from a wonderfully inspiring weekend with my friend and fellow artist, Diane Scott. She has the BEST studio sitting on a lake in New Hampshire. What a wonderful place! Check out her website by clicking on her name. She has wonderful pieces that I'm sure you'll enjoy.

WooooHooooo! Marcus advanced to the quarter finals at the Volcom Pipeline Pro competition. Click on this link, go to day 2 and scroll down to Round 64 Heat 3 to see Marcus in his second heat. It's raw excitement!

Wanting to do my part, as humble a part as that may be, I donated "The Deep Blue" to the The American Red Cross. I truly believe that when you're allowed to help others the benefit to your heart is great and swift.

The submission process is over, now it's time to wait. Hopefully "A Sense of Self" will fare well at the "Artist's Wanted" self-portrait competition. .

PLUS, the cleaning of the studio continues. I can't believe how many paintings I have backlogged. There's a glimmer of an idea there . . . stay tuned!

The buses in Panama' are awesome! I love the colors . . . the music . . . and their "road warriors" driving tactics.

The area behind her is where my mother was born.

This is a very cool church in El Valle which is nestled up in the mountains.

Could be an alien life form spy unit OR merely a strange centerpiece in a little restaurant in Panama'.

This piece of driftwood looked like a bird to me.

Erin continues to "wow" them in LA. Congratulations to her for her many successes, can't wait for the EP.

I found it! There a VERY cool blog from Rapa Nui where Marcus is on a surf trip sponsored by InSurfNews.com. Check it out - it's really great and the scenery is unbelievable!

The two grand-puppies looking ever so cute!!!

This is that study of greens that I did in my studio. I think it's helpful to continue with these excercises every once in a great while.
